PLACE, DATE & TIME OF DEATH:  11:30 AM Monday, May 27 at Deerview Meadows Assisted Living, Medford where he had resided for the past 1 week most recently under the care of Hope Hospice

 

TIME & PLACE OF SERVICES: 11:00 AM Friday, May 31 at First Lutheran Church, Ogema

 

OFFICIATING:  Rev. Dr. Bob Giese

 

INTERMENT:  2:00 PM Friday, May 31 at Zion Ev. Lutheran Cemetery, Stetsonville where there will also be military rites performed by the Stetsonville American Legion military honors team  

 

VISITATION: 4-8 PM Thursday, May 30 at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford and also at church from 10 AM until the time of services on Friday, May 31

 

DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH: June 29, 1926 at the Township of Little Black, Taylor Co., WI

 

EDUCATION: Liberty elementary school, Town of Little Black and attended Dorchester High School

 

MARRIAGE: 1st:   June 1, 1950 at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Stetsonville to Sylvia Mae Koch and she preceded him in death November 11, 1981; 2nd:   Aug. 4, 1989 at Phillips to Helen J. Pearson Cummings and she survives

 

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: US Army veteran of WW II serving in the European Theater from 1944 to 1945.  After the service, he drove gravel, logging and gas truck from 1946 to 1950.  He purchased a milk route in 1950 and operated it for 16 years, during which time he also operated a dairy farm south of Stetsonville on Hwy. 13 in the Town of Deer Creek.  He later sold the milk route and purchased a US Star Mail route in 1966.  After his 2nd marriage, they resided in Town of Ogema where he enjoyed making maple syrup, puttering in the woods, fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.

SURVIVING SPOUSE:  Helen J. Waldhart of Ogema

 

SURVIVING CHILDREN:  Holly (Philip) Wachuta of Stetsonville, Lynda Caskey of River Falls, Lee (Vicki) Waldhart of Stetsonville, Laurie (Thomas) Retzloff of Hartford, Sara (Robert) Fochs of Mosinee; Step-Children:  Cathy Cummings, Craig (Joyce) Cummings, Randal (Jeanne) Cummings and Todd (Joani) Cummings all of Ogema, Jeff Cummings of Phillips

 

CHILDREN DECEASED:   Ella & Ida Waldhart in infancy & Nancy Jayne Waldhart in her youth

 

# OF LIVING GRANDCHILDREN:  8 & 12 step   GR-GRANDCHILDREN:  4 step        

 

BROTHERS/SISTERS DECEASED: Hollis Waldhart, Edith Weigel and Earl Waldhart in infancy
