PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: Earl worked for Joe Brandner Logging for a number of years. He then owned and operated Earl Thums Forest products for 30+ years until his son Rock took over the business. He also owned and operated a dairy farm and sawmill until his retirement. In his retirement he continued to work at the sawmill and in the woods. In his younger years, Earl and Vi raised and showed Appaloosa horses. He enjoyed deer hunting and visiting with folks. Earl helped family and friends build several homes and garages.

Past Member of the Royal Rough Riders Horse Club of Medford
