VISITATION:  11:00 A.M. until the time of services at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 1 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford

DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH: November 18, 1931 in Medford

EDUCATION: Attended Spruce Grove School in Deer Creek and Medford High School

MARRIAGE: Married for 56 years on April 27, 1957 at St. Ann’s Church in the Town of Greenwood, Rib Lake to Armella F. Thums and she survives

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: He worked at Brost trucking for a few years. After his marriage in 1958 Don worked road construction in Milwaukee. From 1961-1987 he worked for Owens-Illinois Timber Corp. in Tomahawk. Don also worked odd jobs in the Medford area until his retirement. He spent most of his life doing woodswork and loved it. He also enjoyed hobby farming, raising homer pigeons and horses, going to horse auctions and small animal sales.

SURVIVING SPOUSE:  Armella F. Berger of Medford

SURVIVING CHILDREN:  Mark (Debbi) Berger of Westboro, Patricia (Kenny) Weinzatl of Prentice and Ann “Shortie” Wiitala of Ogema

 GRANDCHILDREN: Jessica (Mark) Schmidt of Almond, Joseph (Tanya) Berger of Rib Lake, Stephanie Berger of Eau Claire, Craig (Lori) Weinzatl of Rhinelander, Melissa Weinzatl of Rhinelander, Megan and Nicholas Wiitala both of Ogema
