EDUCATION: Medford elementary schools, 1943 graduate of Medford High School, attended Technical College in Wausau

MARRIAGE: August 20, 1949 at United Methodist Church, Medford to Ruth A. Hutchinson and she survives

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: After high school, he entered the US Navy and was a veteran of WW II serving from 1943-1946 as a radio technician 3rd Class. After the service, he continued his education. Then he worked as a foreman for Steel Structures in Medford for many years until his retirement in 1988. He also operated a hobby farm in the Town of Browning for many years. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, making furniture & snowshoes.

CHILDREN DECEASED: Son – Daniel Smith in infancy in 1957
